unroot release artifacts are published through GitHub Releases:
github.com/danielrobbins/unroot/releases
The initial 1.0.0 release (August 2026) includes:
- Static
unrootbinaries for x86-64 and ARM64 - Native
.debpackages for Debian 13, Ubuntu 24.04/26.04 - Native
.rpmpackages for Fedora 44 and Enterprise Linux 9 - Source archive with build tooling
All artifacts are built, tested, and validated by release CI before publication. The unroot-util helper is included in packages for managed rich root support.
QEMU user-mode emulation is recommended for multi-architecture work but not required — unroot works without it for native same-architecture roots.
Kernel Seeds will carry project context and selected announcements. The release archive itself stays on GitHub so checksums, artifacts, source tags, and maintainer workflows live in one place.
